What is Invisalign?

Invisalign is a treatment that consists of plastic aligners that are worn over the teeth. When they are in place, only your teeth should be on show as the plastic is transparent. This means that you can wear your aligners at any time without worrying about other people realising that you have anything in your mouth. As Diamond providers, we have a vast experience of treating patients with Invisalign and only 1% of dentists are awarded this accolade. Our dentist Sydney has to treat at least 151 patients a year with Invisalign to be awarded this – so there’s not much we haven’t seen!

If you have mild to moderate alignment issues and we think this is a treatment that would suit your specific needs, then aside from the discreet way you can wear the aligners, you may also be pleased to hear that you can remove them for up to 2 hours a day. This enables you to brush and floss your teeth normally, maintaining your oral hygiene routine, without anything impeding your progress. What’s more, you may also remove them while you are eating and drinking, so you won’t need to change your diet and you won’t have to clean food off your aligners either.

Another advantage of choosing Invisalign is that it should be comfortable because the aligners are made bespoke for you using iTero technology, a digital scan that gets the precise measurements of your mouth for your aligners to be manufactured to. From this, we can also generate an animation of what your teeth will look like after treatment, before your treatment begins.
