How our dentist provides veneers

If you have been wishing to improve the look of your smile with veneers, you will probably want to know what to expect beforehand. This is why we have created this guide to help you understand what will happen when getting veneers with us, from the consultation all the way through to the aftercare.

At Spa Dental Sydney, we really enjoy providing veneers for our patients.  Why?  Because it’s a really exciting time for our patients knowing that their smile is going to be improved. Whether you want to cover one tooth or get a whole new set, our dentist Sydney can help.

The consultation

When you first contact us about getting veneers, we will invite you to our practice for a consultation appointment. This is a really important part of the process as it gives us the opportunity to get to know you, answer any questions you might have, and discuss what you want to get out of the treatment. As well as this, we will also take X-rays, photos and videos of your teeth and face, so that we can ensure the veneers will look as natural as possible.

Test drive

Something that is really exciting for our patients is to see what their smile should look like at the end of the treatment. We can make this possible by using our cosmetic dentist Sydney technology, which is a program that can digitally design your new smile. By using the scans, photos and videos taken in your consultation, it will be able to generate a 3D image of what your new smile will look like once you have your veneers in. If there are any alterations that you feel need to be made, we can do this to help give you the smile you’ve been looking for.

Attaching your veneers

Once you are happy with what your veneers will look like and are ready to begin the treatment, we will invite you to our practice for your veneers to be attached. Our dentist Sydney is very experienced in providing this treatment, and can usually attach them in one appointment. They will begin by removing a very thin layer of your enamel to make space for the veneers, which is done to ensure that they don’t stick out. After this, a dental cement is used to attach the veneers to the front of your teeth, and that is then hardened with a UV light. This creates a very strong bond between the veneer and your tooth, which means that it shouldn’t come off for many years. Once this is done, you will be able to leave our practice with a new and improved smile to show off to the world.

Looking after your veneers

When it comes to maintaining your veneers and keeping them clean, the process is extremely simple. You won’t have to do anything that you wouldn’t normally do when it comes to cleaning your teeth, you just need to brush and floss them regularly and you’re good to go! Keeping up a good oral hygiene routine can lead to your veneers lasting for 20 years or more. Our patients have really loved the fact that they don’t need to learn how to use fancy cleaning equipment or techniques when keeping their veneers clean.
