What are injectables?

Injectables are where a patient has a chemical inserted into their skin through a needle. The injection can do a variety of things, from lessening the appearance of your wrinkles to making your face appear fuller in certain areas. There are three main types of injection available now but not all dental practices will offer all of them.

At Spa Dental Sydney CBD, the type of injection we offer contains botulinum toxin type A. This toxin works by relaxing your facial muscles, by blocking their nerve impulses, so there is a reduction in your expression lines. This leaves our patient’s skin looking smooth and healthy. It takes between five and ten minutes for one of our dental practitioners to administer the injection.

You will not notice a difference on the same day, but between four and seven days after your treatment you will start to realise that your skin looks and feels visibly healthier and smoother. Injectables do not offer a permanent solution for your wrinkles, so you will need to attend our practice regularly to maintain your anti-wrinkle treatment. We recommend that patients should have the procedure repeated once every three months to achieve and maintain their desired results. 

What kinds of problems can it resolve?

If you are suffering from smokers’ lines around your mouth and top lip, then an injection could help eradicate these. Stress can cause worry lines to appear on your forehead, or maybe you have crow’s feet wrinkles around your eyes, which are causing you embarrassment.

In addition to this, injections can also be used for several other issues, such as lines around the eyebrows. Frown lines can also plague some people, appearing vertically right between the eyebrows.
