We will look for any signs of gum disease and if we identify symptoms of gingivitis or periodontitis then you will undergo gum treatment before beginning teeth straightening. Invisalign aligners

We will carry out an intraoral scan of your dentition which will take thousands of pictures of the inside of your mouth, these will then be used to create a digital image. Our specialist dentist will manipulate your image to show how your teeth can be moved to create a neatly aligned smile. The Invisalign software then calculates the movements that your teeth need to go through to reach the desired positions. A sequence of aligners are designed accordingly. Each aligner will move your teeth in small increments towards the final alignment. The number of aligners necessary will depend on the extent of dental misalignment and malocclusion that you begin with. You will need to wear each of the aligners for between 10 and 21 days at a time and this depends on your treatment plan. After this you move onto the next aligner in the series until you reach the end of the treatment.

Maintaining your new smile
