What is Invisalign?

Invisalign is a convenient method of realigning your teeth because it comprises clear plastic aligners which can be removed. As they are transparent, it is very difficult to see that you are wearing anything at all! The aligners apply some pressure to your teeth to move them slowly into the desired position and treatment can take as little as 6 months, although it can vary up to 18 months, depending on your alignment issues. After this, you may then be required to wear retainers.

A further advantage to Invisalign is that the aligners are very difficult to break, so you shouldn’t need to come to our dentist for emergency appointments. You will also be provided with sets of aligners to change between every 6 weeks and you will only need to have a checkup at the end of this period, during which time you will receive the next 6 weeks’ worth of aligners to take home with you again.
